We Don’t Know What We Don’t Know
A phrase we often hear in Squash workshops is “We don’t know what we don’t know.”
There’s so much we don’t know about the people we work with and the reality of the challenges they face.
We make assumptions and generalise but, in doing so, we miss the nuanced human stories.
One of the reasons Squash use drama is to help participants step into someone else's shoes and consider those unseen barriers they face.
This is where real empathy begins.
By creating safe spaces for authentic dialogue, we can challenge our own biases, really begin to understand each other and build genuine connections.
Meaningful conversations start when we admit how much we don't know.
